I was given the opportunity by Mom Select to try the Temple Touch Thermometer and having 2 kids that are anti-ear thermometers I was excited to give it a try.
During our week long flu battle 2 weeks ago we really gave this thermometer a run for its money and I was impressed with the quick and accurate temperature readings.
It is really easy to use. You simply follow these 3 quick steps.
The thermometer works in 3 easy and quick steps.
1) Press and release the power button to activate it. The display and light come on and you will hear 1 beep to indicate the unit is powered on.
2) Wait for 2 short beeps that indicate the thermometer is ready for use.
3) Place the sensor on the temple or under the arm. Listen for one long beep to indicate the temperature reading is ready.
Features:
* Measurement locations – temple and underarm
* Instant measurement, 6 – 8 seconds
* Room Temperature display.
* Large and easy to read back-lighted LCD
* ODPT® – Over Dose Protective Timer.
* Recalls last reading recorded
* Celsius/Fahrenheit scale readouts
* Simple to operate, no scanning required
* Family friendly, safe and gentle enough for newborns
* Meets ASTM Accuracy requirements
This is currently available for sale at Walgreens for $29.99. A great way to save money on this is to use Regoster Rewards to pay for it! You can get more detailed instructions on this thermometer here. I do recommend testing this out before you need to use it for a real fever. I had a fever myself when I first tried to use it and did not read the directions to know to wait for the 2 beeps and I got a little frustrated. Once I read the quick instructions I was able to get it to work fine but I could have saved myself some frustration.
Mom Select has given me a thermometer to give away too!

I am always looking for a thermometer that is easy to use and provides a quick, accurate reading.
Quick and easy to read, especially at night without turning on the lights.

I want accuracy first. I like the idea you can use it on the temple and in the arm pit. I can’t see so the large readout is a must.
I subscribe!
This looks like a great one, we have bought so many that are not accurate and take forever!
When my daughter has a fever, I give her a small rag damp with cool water on it to put on her face, she likes to do it herself.
I like the fact that this themometer won’t wake my kiddos when I’m trying to take there temperature in the middle of the night or early morning. So much better than waking them up for an ear thermometer check.
I look for an accurate thermometer that gives a fast reading. A sick child never wants to hold still for me to take his temperature.

I don’t usually medicate my kids for a fever unless it it pretty high. This way, their bodies can fight whatever is making them sick on it’s own and get stronger. It also makes it easier to know if their temp is really going down when there is no medication involved.
It’s got to be fast to keep up with my little ones!
My tip is grapes flavored medicine, my kids ask for more!
I look for accuracy, durability, ease of use, price and comfort when looking at thermometers.

My tip was given to me by the ER department at our local hospital. My two youngest tend to get really high fevers when they get fevers(we’re talking 103 and higher where you start worrying about seizures being next) they taught me to alternate Tylenol with Motrin for fever control. It also allows you to medicate more often then every six hours when fighting to bring that real high fever down.
I completely relate to your flu story. Our house has been battling it this week and it is absolutely no fun to have to wake sick kids up when you know they need their rest to help fight the infection. This would be a great tool to help out.

I would love one that is easy and accurate. Thanks for the giveaway!
Accuracy and doesn’t spread germs, I am not a fan of the ones in the mouth with the cover.
Quick, easy and accurate.
my kid will not sit still long enough to take his tempeture with a normal thermotaer.
I need something that reads fast and is easy to use.
I am looking for a thermometer to give accurate readings! Believe it or not, they’re really hard to find!
A little tylenol goes a long way, but my favorite way to bring down a temperature is a cool bath!
I shared on my facebook!
The speed of the temp. taking.
I think the quickness in registering a correct temperature is the most important aspect of a thermometer for me.
To bring down a temperature, we strip the kids out of their clothes and let them sit in a cool bath or put cold washrags on their heads & bellies.
I need a thermometer that is fast and accurate. I’ve got to little ones and I can’t keep them still for 60 seconds to take a temp.
popsicles works well when the kids are hot with fevers. it helps my 3 yrs old cool down and he enjoys it.
I need one with easy to see display !

I look for a themometer that is easy to use and fast. My kids don’t have much patience so I need it to be as fast as possible.

We alternate between motrin and tylenol every four hours until the fever goes down seems to work really well!

I look for a thermometer that is fast, accurate and not uncomfortable for the child.
Besides using Tylenol and Motrin to control fever, you could also try Belladonna – it’s a homeopathic.
What I look for in a thermometer is something that’s reliable and quick. I care for a 2 year old AND a ninety-year old (who can’t hear and can barely see) so I need something that’s quick and accurate for the times when both of them are under the weather. Even if I don’t win this giveaway, I will be searching for this particular thermometer in stores because it’s got to be the most awesome innovation I’ve ever seen, and will certainly be looking for it in the stores.
